Develop a healthy self esteem by practicing the following principles:
Love and value who you are: Why will I treat myself right? Why will I want to live a happy life? Why will I want to keep things working for me? Why will I not give up on myself? The answer is this -because I love myself. Why do I love myself? Because God loves me.
Those simple questions alone explains it all. Jesus did not pay the price for us to hate and condemn ourselves but to acknowledge his love and love ourselves and people around us as well. If Jesus could love you to the extent of dying for you then why feel bad about yourself. The truth is; health challenge, financial challenge is not enough for you to start looking down on yourself and feel worthless.
It is only when you love the person you are now that you will be able to become a better person tomorrow. If you don’t love yourself; you will always go out unkept, you won’t work hard, you won’t be good to people, you will keep thinking negative about yourself and keep getting depressed. Love is the First approach towards achieving a healthy self esteem.
Don’t consider People’s Opinion: A lot of people has developed low self-esteem due to the fact that they keep considering people’s opinion about them. Some friends want you to behave exactly the way they behave. They won’t just stop telling you “don’t do it this way, do it that way. Some can’t help but tell you, “oh you are a total failure, you are so miserable”.And you go out there living your life according to what they said. The more reason why you need to choose the kind of company you keep. You need to stay away from people who doesn’t see any good in you and tells you that often. You need to stop seeking their opinion.
The only person you should seek and rely on his opinion is God. Be happy with what you are doing and keep doing it the right way. If you notice it isn’t working out, try another method but don’t quit. Always encourage yourself.
The only person you should seek and rely on his opinion is God.
Speak good of yourself: I noticed some people can’t just speak good about themselves. Even when you speak good about them they counter it. There is power in spoken words. If you can wake up every morning, stand infront of your mirror and tell the person you see there “you are the best” you will notice that your self esteem will boost.
Quit saying negative things about yourself, quit condemning yourself with the words you speak.Always talk good about yourself and be thankful to God that you are becoming what he created you to be. You can actually create a better you with the words you speak.
Quit saying negative things about yourself
Aim at being successful:
If you want to be a success then you will do everything to make it happen. Aiming at being successful causes you not to look back but to always look forward. Even as you aim at being successful, you trust yourself that you can do all it takes to be successful and with this you will never live a mediocre life. Believe that you can actually do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
If you want to be a success then you will do everything to make it happen.
Know that you God created you for a purpose. Having a low self esteem will not help you achieve that purpose, so you must fight it today. You are a child of God not just a commoner. Therefore quit living like a commoner and live like a true son of the creator of the whole universe. Remember that God created you in his own image and likeness. Make God’s word the standard of your living.
God bless You
